besok pegi sekolah

In the name of Allah.

A few days back I realized that I have not at all wrote any post since I got to Dunedin. Not that I was crazy busy, just didn’t have anything good to share.

So anyways, I arrived safely at Dunedin airport on the 8th of February. Aliff was there with Nas, Yanie and Azhan, so it was a no problemo ride from the airport to the town centre.

So, tomorrow is the official first day of school for the year 2011. No doubt I am super excited, but despite the excitement, realising that the summer hols is over, for real,  is a little depressing. Oh well, change is constant. I just have to live with it.

Semoga semester baru 2011 akan lebih baik dari semester-semester sebelumnya! Aamin!

Carp/Crap

In the name of Allah.

Life has been upside down these few days. Everyone knows the reason. But despite that, I just want to appreciate every ticking second. Because what? The answer to the lame question would be — I amgoing back in five days to the land down under.

I am excited to be starting my third year there, but the holidays had somehow made me ‘lemau’. Haih. To tell you the truth, normally I would pack my bags like a week earlier, but it didn’t happen 2 days ago, and I ain’t see it happening for the next few days…The crystal ball seems to say that it would happen on Sunday, the day before I head back.

Stuffs that have been happening around me, seem so brutal. The chaos in Egypt seems equivalent to the messiness I feel inside. I am just hoping that things would get better for my sisters and brothers in Egypt. Amin.

Let’s count the last five days in Maaysia.

Thursday–Friday–Saturday–Sunday–MONDAY!

Malaysia suda~

In the name of Allah.

Praise Allah!

I was out today after several days keeping myself inside the house. here in Ampang! Wooo. Cna you actually believe it? One minute I’m in the Southern hemisphere, now I’m in KL. hah 🙂

Anyways, I arrived like, a week back. I think. Arrived on Eid day itself, memang macam dendang perantau.

Owh. Yup. I have been keeping myself inside the house since I got back. (except for one day, though, when the sistas ajak shopping*can anyone resist that?).

But today, I went outing with mom. Alhamdulillah! It rained at around noon, which made the weather quite bearable. We were out and about, going all over KL.

And the best thing is, when I reached home, I opened the mail box, there it is. The letter I’ve been waiting for the past few days. My job offer! all the way from Dunedin.

Well, it’s actually  a one-off job, working for the course approval 2011. More like an orientation assistant in Malaysia. Just to get extra cash.

But the thing that bothers me now is, how do I get the letter back to Dunedin by this Friday. I already checked the fastest most affordable post services and found out that the best service is Post laju. Costs only RM55 and should arrive in 3 days.

SO, tomorrow,  I will be stopping by the NZ High Commission to certify my IRD copy and sent all the documents back to Dunedin.

Pray that everything will turn out right, ok?

before I return

In the name of Allah.

Despite the fact that I will be leaving Dunedin for the year, I have to say that I am quite calm. Alhamdulillah, I managed to fit EVERYTHING (including kiwi fruit, cookies etc) in my super small luggage.

My housemates and I had some friends over today. Kak Azam and Kak Rahmah were among those who came. They will be leaving after graduation this year. *sedih. Obviously their absence next year will be felt by many, including me.

To tell you the truth, I can’t say that I am super excited. Not that I am not happy to head home, being with my loved ones. Maybe it isn’t the time yet. I hope the time will come.

Perhaps it’s the post exam stress that I am feeling now. The nervousness didn’t stop after I capped my pen on October 30th. Even thinking about the date 29th November makes me sick. Pray for my success for the paper ok?

If the Earth was a village…

In the name of Allah.

If we could shrink the earth’s population to village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratio remaining the same, it would look something like the following:

There would be:

57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south
8 Africans

52 would be female
48 would be male

70 would be non-white
30 would be white

70 would be non-Christian
30 would be Christian

89 would be heterosexual
11 would be homosexual

6 people would possess 59% of the entire world’s wealth and all 6 would be from the United States.

80 would live in substandard housing

70 would be unable to read

50 would suffer from malnutrition

1 would be near death

1 would be near birth

1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education

1 would own a computer

When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent.

The following is also something to ponder…

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness…you are more blessed than many others. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation…you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death…you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep…you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace … you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married … you are very rare, even in the United States and Canada.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Someone once said: What goes around comes around.

Work like you don’t need the money.
Love like you’ve never been hurt.
Dance like nobody’s watching.
Sing like nobody’s listening.
Live like it’s Heaven on Earth.

another blablabla on you know what

In the name of Allah.

So here’s what’s new. I have once again, changed my decision. I am yet to be sure that I will be staying here or go back to the land of Bukit Belacan this summer. Males mahu fikir, since I still have go through a killer paper this saturday.

Funny.
Killer paper = The Art of Crime= Murderous paper?= A paper that kills?
Irony.

And I thought art only involves dancing, visual art, music and drama. =.=’

Anyways, today marks the end of the semester to some of my friends. They can now officially join the mob of free people, and my turn is yet to come until 530pm, saturday, October the 30th. Wah! Malam boleh pegi ‘trick or treat’ nih!

And also, on the 30th, the decision has to be made. By hook or by crook. One way or the other. I will sit down with azreen and figure this matter out. Pray that I make the best decision, ok?

But before that, let’s concentrate on the killer paper this Saturday. 2 days left before utter freedom. Wish me luck, will you? Cause I would really need it.
